Scott is reasonably handy in the kitchen and, in his “spare” time, enjoys target shooting, photography and trips to warm places.ġ. He is committed to the notion that diverse ideas make better people and is a strong advocate for underrepresented groups in the STEM disciplines. Scott is drawn to sponsored program work because he can experience many different points of view and disciplines of study while facilitating his passion for undergraduate education. Scott joined the ABAC family in November, 2018. ![]() He has been in academia since 2005, where he has served as a Research Associate, a Grant Writer and as a Program Manager on large Federal grants for the NIH and NSF. Scott taught high school for two years, rebuilt houses after hurricanes, managed a custom mahogany woodworking shop, co-owned a West Indian antique restoration business, helped restore an early 19th century church, owned a small cabinet business, and worked as a consultant for the United Nations. He also holds a Master’s in Criminal Justice with an 18-hour concentration in Forensic Science. ![]() Scott holds undergraduate degrees in Economics, Philosophy and Chemistry.
